Ateliers Jacob DC is seeking a

Interior Design Director

to serve as a creative and operational bridge between our kitchen designers, clients, and project execution teams. This role is ideal for a

seasoned interior designer

who brings both a strong design sensibility and the organizational discipline to keep multiple projects on track. You will ensure our designs maintain the high level of excellence expected from the Ateliers Jacob brand while keeping timelines, client expectations, and final outcomes aligned.

Key Responsibilities

Support and guide showroom kitchen designers with design problem‑solving, layout refinement, and aesthetic consistency.

Provide creative input to maintain and elevate design standards across all client projects.

Serve as a design resource for complex layouts, finishes, and technical detailing.

Project Management & Scheduling

Oversee project timelines from design through order placement, ensuring clear task ownership and accountability.

Track project progress in

Monday.com , ensuring milestones and deliverables remain on schedule.

Internal Coordination

Serve as the central point of focus for design priorities and workload balancing across the showroom team.

Identify bottlenecks and proactively realign resources to keep projects moving efficiently.

Assist in onboarding new projects, assigning them appropriately, and ensuring design packages are complete before handoff to operations.

Client Experience & Quality Control

Monitor project flow to ensure an exceptional client experience from concept to installation.

Review design presentations and deliverables for accuracy, clarity, and brand consistency.

Uphold Ateliers Jacob’s reputation for precision, quality, and refined design.

Qualifications

10+ years of professional experience in

interior design, kitchen design, architecture or design project management .

Strong understanding of luxury residential design standards and client expectations.

Proficient with

Monday.com

or similar project management tools.

Working knowledge of design software (e.g., Vectorworks, SketchUp, Chief Architect) preferred.

Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Detail-oriented with an eye for both

aesthetic excellence

and

operational efficiency .
