JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Marketing Manager plays a key role in shaping and executing BGCMA’s integrated marketing and branding strategies to increase awareness, engagement, and support for the organization. Reporting to the SVP, Marketing & Communications, this role manages the creative process, leads digital marketing initiatives, and ensures brand consistency across all channels.
The ideal candidate is a strong strategic thinker and creative storyteller who can balance big-picture marketing vision with hands-on execution in digital, design, and campaign management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: Strategic Marketing & Brand Management
Partner with the SVP to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that advance BGCMA’s mission, programs, and fundraising goals.
Manage brand identity and ensure consistent application of BGCMA’s visual and messaging standards across all materials and platforms.
Oversee creation of print, digital, and multimedia assets for campaigns, events, and donor engagement.
Support organizational initiatives such as the Youth of the Year Gala, Giving Tuesday, fundraising campaigns, and community partnerships with creative strategy and collateral.
Digital Marketing & Engagement
Lead digital content strategy across website, email, and social media channels to build engagement and grow audiences.
Manage website updates, SEO/SEM optimization, and digital analytics to track campaign performance and audience reach.
Oversee paid and organic digital campaigns, ensuring they are data-driven, optimized, and aligned with brand goals.
Develop email marketing strategies that nurture donor relationships and drive participation in key initiatives.
Creative Direction & Production
Lead creative projects from concept through delivery, including graphic design, photography, and video production.
Develop creative briefs, manage timelines, and coordinate with external designers, photographers, and vendors as necessary.
Ensure creative output reflects BGCMA’s brand voice, tone, and visual identity while maintaining a high standard of quality and accessibility.
Work closely with Development, Program, and Operations teams to ensure marketing support aligns with organizational goals.
Manage the workflow and professional development of creative support to teams across the organization.
Support media relations, storytelling, and event promotion efforts as part of the overall communications strategy when needed.
Help drive engagement with key stakeholders (e.g., Board, Trustees, BGCA, BGCMA staff, etc.) and key targets (e.g., Corporate Sponsors, Foundations, Donors, Media, etc.).
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Experience
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or branding — nonprofit experience preferred.
Skills
Proven experience managing digital marketing strategies, campaigns, and creative projects.
Strong graphic design sensibility; proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva required.
Experience with CRM and marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, HooteSuite, Mailchimp, Salesforce, RE NXT, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite).
Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Collaborative, creative, and mission-driven mindset.
ENVIRONMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal internal office environment with occasional need to travel to club locations within the Metro Atlanta area. Frequent internal contacts with employees throughout the organization are required.
EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
employees are not entitled, under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), to the protections of the wage and hour laws of the state or the FLSA. Exempt employees must always be paid on a salary basis and not be subject to reduction based on the quality or quantity of work performed.
