Our 12-month Design Apprentice Program Overview Our 12-month Design Apprentice Program will give recent graduates or early career individuals the opportunity to collaborate with our talented design teams to learn all aspects of the design process. We offer training and learning sessions to give exposure to leaders and provide a big picture understanding to our business. The design apprentices also have the opportunity to present a final project to design leaders across all of the brands.

Work structure: Hybrid (Tuesday-Thursday in office)

Location: New York City Hudson Yards Office

Compensation: $26/hour

Work Structure – Hybrid (3 Days) Primary Purpose As a member of the Footwear Design team, you will be supporting the team from both a creative and technology driven perspective. The Design Apprentice will support the team with the shoe design process, including assisting with sketches, specs, presentation boards, meeting preparation, sample management and administrative tasks. You will be a part of a dynamic, creative environment where you will collaborate with talented designers and cross‑functional partners in the business.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Design to:

Assist Footwear Design team with both technical sketches and hand sketches

Produce CADs as an aid to design (for design presentations) and for the Merchandising team

Work pro‑actively according to the Product Development calendar to stay ahead of timelines

Develop partnerships with Design, Product Development & Merchandising to build an integrated working relationship

Maintain an organized library of samples, material swatches, and boards

Assist in creating presentation boards for Design and Merchandising

Responsible for Design related Administrative tasks

The accomplished individual will possess:

Knowledge of footwear design

Proven ability to hand‑sketch

Exceptional proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Ability to handle multiple priorities (quickly and efficiently) with tight deadlines

Team player with strong communication and organizational skills

Understanding of brand aesthetic

An outstanding professional will have:

1+ years related work experience in design; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
