Position Summary UNC Greensboro Athletics seeks a Director of Broadcast and Live Production to manage all aspects of video operations, ensuring the delivery of quality live streaming for ESPN broadcasts and other distribution platforms. The role directs the broadcast by providing leadership and directing activities of personnel operating, maintaining, and programming audio and video systems within the sports arena for home events while ensuring an uninterrupted live feed to ESPN. The position serves as a liaison to the Southern Conference (SoCon) and ESPN to fulfill video requests for broadcast, social media, and the athletics website, and develops concepts for videos used at UNCG athletic events.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in a broadcast television, radio, or emerging media environment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in broadcast, video production, communication, media, sports management, or a related field with at least one year of experience in live video production.
At least two years of experience in athletic video production, with preference for professional or collegiate sports experience.
Demonstrated expertise in written and oral communication skills.
Experience on the live production side of athletic broadcasts (Ross Xpression graphics, Ross Switchers & CG’s, Clearcom, 3‑Play, audio equipment, etc.).
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
Technical knowledge of video equipment.
Understanding of NCAA rules.
Experience directing and producing live broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities
Manage all ESPN+ live broadcasts from start to finish.
Act as producer, director, and engineer for ESPN or the corresponding platform to meet contractual obligations.
Assist in developing video content for the athletics website, social media, and promotional features.
Handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines for timely video delivery.
Supervise a team of students, contractors, and staff, providing scheduling, training, and logistical support; oversee hiring, termination, and payment of vendors.
Work closely with the Creative Content Producer to produce revenue‑generating videos and brand‑enhancing content.
Ensure compliance with NCAA, SoCon, UNC Greensboro, and ESPN regulations.
Maintain equipment inventory and conduct operational testing procedures for quality performance.
