Position Title:
Service & Support Specialist POSITION OVERVIEW: The Service & Support Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting audio/visual equipment across diverse environments like corporate offices, healthcare facilities, event venues, and educational institutions. Our aim is to ensure seamless functionality of AV systems, while fostering effective communication with clients through intuitive ticketing systems. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and collaborate with internal teams and clients during service calls, preventative maintenance, and health checks. Set up and operate AV equipment for meetings and events. Conduct routine maintenance on AV systems. Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site and remotely. Employ critical thinking to develop innovative solutions. Provide technical assistance to clients and event planners. Document service outcomes meticulously in various ticketing systems. Analyze system schematics and perform hardware upgrades on AV equipment. Configure and register VTC codec endpoints (Cisco, Poly, Logitech, etc.). Utilize and troubleshoot Crestron, AMX, Extron, Shure, Biamp, and QSC hardware. Operate Crestron Toolbox, Biamp Tesira, Q-SYS, and Shure software effectively. Understand networking principles including TCP/IP, addressing, and VLANs. Configure DSPs (Digital Signal Processors) for optimal audio quality. Fine-tune audiovisual systems for peak performance. Collaborate with remote programmers for interface diagnostics. Expertly troubleshoot complex audio, video, and network issues. Possess advanced knowledge of signal flow for audio, video, and control systems. Have minor programming skills in Crestron/QSC/Extron for changes and troubleshooting. Engage confidently with C-Level executives. Educate clients on their AV equipment. Deliver necessary reports after service calls and maintenance visits. High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
