Responsibilities
- Participate in kick-off and recurring project meetings as needed.
- Manage the inventory of onsite equipment, lifts, and tools.
- Handle day-to-day project paperwork.
- Perform installation tasks based on project scope and directives.
- Demonstrate job site leadership, mentor site technicians, and verify quality of work.
- Read and interpret electronic schematics, signal flow, and architectural blueprints.
- Ensure required quality standards are applied as stipulated in contract documents.
- Coordinate RMAs for defective or unused equipment.
- Support the Project Manager with site supervision, communication of daily status, and required documentation.
- Assist an Engineer or Programmer with minor programming changes.
- Oversee onsite aspects of project during installation and commissioning phases.
- Ensure health and safety compliance on sites through training and prevention.
- Act as liaison, maintain communication with clients, contractors, architects, and internal teams.
- Address change orders throughout the project.
- Coordinate with other trades on site.
- Perform client training as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications / Profile
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years experience in audiovisual equipment integration/installation.
- Basic customer service experience.
- Familiarity with a wide range of audio, video, lighting, control, and networking equipment.
- Experience installing Crestron/AMX/Extron/Q-Sys control systems preferred.
- Advanced carpentry and/or installation skills.
- Proficient use and safety with power tools.
- AVIXA CTS or CTS-I Certification highly preferred.
- Ability to obtain OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course within first month of employment.
- Leadership of site teams on large, complex projects.
- Diagnostic, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Independence and deadline-orientation.
- Effective communication with employees, customers and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Full availability for 2nd/3rd shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
- Periodic overtime as needed for deadlines.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of construction site health & safety meetings, inspections, OHS prevention.
- Advanced sound systems, lighting, video and/or videoconference control knowledge.
- Advanced carpentry—anchorage, cabling, low-voltage electrical concepts.
- AutoCAD Viewer knowledge, an asset.
- Excellent proficiency with Office365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Outlook).
Physical Requirements
- Continuously sit, walk, speak, and hear.
- Continuously type, write, and read.
- Occasionally stand, carry, reach, lift and push up to 50 lbs.
Work Requirements
- Time spent in an office setting.
- Time spent on construction sites.
- Approximately 90 % at client sites, 10 % at office.
- Work hours may vary based on deadlines and company needs.
- Flexible schedule, able to work nights, weekends, and interstate travel.
- Environment may be fast-paced and stressful.
Physical Work Environment
Regular work in an office setting and occasional exposure to dust, noise, heat, cold, etc. Accidents are unlikely, minor injuries possible. Environment may be fast-paced at times.
