Creative Director – Motion Graphics & Video Content (SaaS & B2B)
This innovative video content agency specializes in SaaS and B2B companies. Unlike traditional agencies, it operates on a Video-as-a-Service (VaaS) model, acting as an internal video team for clients rather than executing one-off projects. Approximately 60% of the videos produced are animation and motion graphics projects (Explainers, Promos, Sizzles, Video Ads), while the remaining 40% focus on video editing (Talking Heads for social media, Interviews & Testimonials, Podcasts, Webinar repurposing). The agency is small and agile, delivering personalized, high-quality video content that drives measurable results for clients.
About the Role
The Creative Director of Motion Graphics & Video Content will oversee the planning, creation, and production of all video projects, ensuring the creative team delivers high-quality content that meets client expectations in both speed and volume. This role acts as a key strategic and creative partner for clients, providing guidance from concept to delivery. The Creative Director will also work closely with clients in the B2B SaaS industry to help them develop video content strategies that align with their business goals and drive results.
Responsabilities
Client Relationship
- Strategically plan and guide video content creation with clients, particularly in the B2B SaaS sector.
- Conduct recurring biweekly or monthly calls with clients.
- Identify and remove barriers to increase client video output.
Creative Direction
- Define and implement creative vision, art direction, and strategy for each client.
- Translate client feedback into actionable instructions for Motion Graphics Designers, Animators, Designers, and Video Editors.
- Develop storyboard concepts and visual ideas.
- Assist with writing and editing video scripts.
- Ensure each video elevates the client’s brand and meets quality standards.
- Maximize output and production efficiency for every project.
Management
- Ensure the internal creative team adheres to agency processes.
- Oversee team availability, workload, and task assignments.
- Manage budgets and resources for assigned accounts.
- Create templates and document workflows.
- Identify opportunities to improve video quality and production value.
- Implement AI tools and streamline production of repetitive or time-consuming tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Creative Director or in a senior creative role, with a strong portfolio in video content, animation, and motion graphics.
- Experience working with B2B SaaS industries or clients.
- Demonstrated experience conceptualizing, planning, and producing explainer videos.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator).
- Strong collaboration skills with internal teams and clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for presenting creative concepts to stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with understanding of brand development, SaaS products, and messaging.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
