Associate Motion Designer

Player 15 Group includes several companies and many collaborative departments that support the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, Valley Suns, and Mortgage Matchup Center. We are looking for a motivated Junior Motion Graphic Designer to support our team with production development of creative motion design projects and to assist in the production of assets across the Player 15 Group.

What You Will Do

  • Develop high‑quality motion graphics for in‑arena entertainment, live events, broadcast, social, and digital platforms across all Player 15 Group properties—enhancing fan engagement and elevating the overall game‑day experience.
  • Execute creative within established brand guidelines, ensuring all motion deliverables are on‑brand, meet technical and creative requirements, and are delivered on schedule.
  • Support the Motion Team by handling production responsibilities such as resizing and reformatting creative to be placed throughout in‑arena displays.
  • Support a wide range of motion design projects, including in‑arena show content, pre‑game and non‑game day event assets, seasonal design systems, editable MOGRT development, large‑scale brand initiatives, and production set or environmental design elements.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, maintaining strong communication and organization to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced, sports‑driven environment.

What We Need From Our Associate Motion Designer

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud products: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro.
  • Experience with Cinema4D, Blender, and other 3D design platforms.
  • Deep understanding and ongoing curiosity of design trends.
  • Experience with project management tools like Asana, Monday.com, Wrike, etc.
  • Strong team player able to collaborate with a team of creatives.
  • Excellent organization and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and clear articulation of design ideas.
  • Ability to adhere to brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic videography/production/still graphics skills.

Experience / Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of creative design experience in sports or events industry, agency, or related in‑house environment preferred.
  • Strong portfolio or demo reel.
  • Extremely detail‑oriented and adherence to strict file‑structure guidelines.
  • Capacity to follow digital requirements for constructing files.
  • Effective management of multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, and strong organizational skills.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

What You Can Expect

  • Ability to transit throughout the arena for long periods.
  • Mostly indoor work, removed from extreme weather.
  • Light physical requirements: lifting up to 10 pounds occasionally.
  • Clear communication on phone and in‑person.
  • Proficient reading, writing, and speaking in English.
