Tech Valley Talent (TVT) is a HBITS PRIME Vendor with an opening for an Expert Web Developer (HBITS-07-14474).

DURATION: 30 months
LOCATION: Albany, NY – Hybrid

Project: Web Developer will design, develop and implement PORTS projects for the Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) agency. The Web Developer will collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective, scalable application solutions.

Qualifications

  • Web Developer – a programmer specializing in the development of World Wide Web applications.
  • Expert – 84+ months: able to provide guidance to large teams or has extensive industry experience.
  • 84 months experience in UI/UX design/development of web applications in front‑end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and frameworks such as Angular; use Node.js and npm for managing front‑end dependencies like Bootstrap.
  • 84 months experience in integrating and consuming REST APIs in front‑end applications.
  • 60 months experience in Visual Studio Code for coding, debugging and collaboration.
  • 60 months experience with backend development using .NET 6/8 and C#, including API development and integration.
  • 60 months experience in database design, creating tables, stored procedures, triggers, views, functions using T‑SQL in SQL Server.
  • 60 months experience creating technical documents based on business needs.
  • 36 months experience using source‑code control such as TFS/GIT and setting up CI/CD pipelines.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

Day‑to‑Day Tasks

  • Design and implement interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular and Bootstrap.
  • Apply UI/UX design principles and design patterns to develop web applications.
  • Consume and integrate RESTful APIs in front‑end applications.
  • Develop and maintain backend services and .NET components.
  • Design and implement REST APIs using .NET 8 and C#.
  • Write, optimize and maintain SQL Server stored procedures.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and technical leads to translate business requirements into technical documentation.
  • Create and maintain technical specifications and data flow documentation.
  • Participate in all phases of the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC).
  • Use GIT version control for code and documentation, code reviews and CI/CD pipeline workflows.
