The Shopper Experience team is looking to bring on a Senior level content strategist who can support day‑to‑day copywriting (mainly customer‑facial, UX microcopy for product features and flows), and approach things from a strategic mindset. The role requires independence, ownership, and a proactive attitude to identify opportunities for content that drives impact. The leadership team wants to elevate the presence and role of Content within the organization so that executive leadership can continue to see the value and invest further.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product designers to inform site mapping and content hierarchy in wireframes and prototypes for apps, websites, landing pages and more.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative content audits and competitive assessments.
  • Design information architecture, navigation, user flows, and content matrix recommendations.
  • Devise and implement a UX content strategy that considers both macro and micro content needs of the digital experience.
  • Recommend platforms and tools that allow automated content creation for UX components, enabling copy efficiencies and standardization.
  • Partner with other writers to produce engaging, conversational copy that adheres to brand and copy guidelines.
  • Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams—product designers, engineering, product management—to deliver value to users.
  • Manage deadlines on multiple simultaneous projects independently.
  • Keep the end user in mind at all stages of the process.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Content Strategist and/or information architect.
  • Strong understanding of experience principles and customer needs (motivations and behaviors) and ability to translate them into engaging and actionable deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering solutions that meet project needs and timelines.
  • Experience working across platforms and devices (mobile, tablet, desktop) and building full content strategy ecosystems across digital platforms.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure with little supervision.
  • Experience presenting to, and working with, cross‑disciplinary teams.
  • Experience working in an agile and/or lean environment.
  • Startup mentality and comfort with ambiguity.

Contract position based out of Pleasanton, CA (fully remote, U.S. locations only).

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay range: $65.00–$75.00/hr
