We are looking for a talented Junior Producer to join our innovative Game Capture team at Dark Burn Creative. Ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has a passion for the gaming industry, proven skills working with post-production pipelines and be able to work in a fast paced, ever-changing creative environment. This Junior Producer will oversee production for several video assets in various stages of production and post-production at any given time. Every team member\'s mission is to grow our team of diverse and talented capture artists and technologists and continue to smash the boundaries of what makes a great video game trailer.

NOTE: THIS FREELANCE ROLE IS 100% ON-SITE AT OUR WOODLAND HILLS, CALIFORNIA LOCATION.

What you will do

  • Manage day-to-day operations for Dark Burn Creative’s projects from concept/project kickoff through delivery.
  • Act as a client-facing point person for the projects assigned, maintaining composure and dedication to meeting the client’s needs on time and within budget.
  • Provide clients with daily recaps and keep them updated on the status of all their projects; respond promptly when they reach out.
  • Develop schedules for video asset projects and assign capture teams, editors, motion graphics artists, and other shared resources as needed.
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise during production to ensure deadlines are met and budgets are maintained.
  • Organize and manage the production process as needed or directed by your supervisor.
  • Ensure all necessary assets, such as audio and graphics, are readily available for editing.
  • Work closely with content creators and video editors to coordinate content creation efforts.
  • Proactively anticipates project requirements through meticulous asset tracking and organization.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure everyone is aligned on project timelines and goals.
  • Review captured footage for issues or imperfections and provide feedback to content creators.
  • Ensure videos meet quality standards, including resolution, frame rate, and audio quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new gaming technologies, and emerging platforms.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to the game capture process to enhance content quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed records of project progress, including schedules, milestones, and issues encountered.
  • Support creative team through meticulous scheduling of necessary meetings and reviews.

What you will need

  • Bachelor\'s degree in a related field (e.g., game design, multimedia production, or communications) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in post-production, preferably in game capture and/or video production in high-performing and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience producing trailers is a huge plus. Gameplay trailers preferred.
  • Experience managing teams and using project management tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Slack, Airtable.
  • Strong passion for video games and a good understanding of gaming culture.
  • Video editing skills (knowledge of software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc. is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experienced in managing creatives and artists to ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work long hours with short notice.

On-site requirement: This is an on-site role at our Woodland Hills, California location.
