Project Designer – Charlotte, NC We are seeking a creative, innovative, and talented Project Designer to join our Charlotte, NC team.

Responsibilities

Provide production support and review shop drawings, submittals, and respond to RFIs.

Produce construction documents, revisions, addenda, and take responsibility for finished plans, specifications, and material approvals.

Assist with budget management and prepare design presentation materials.

Work directly with clients or user groups to develop schematic design concepts and program studies.

Provide professional architectural consultation for large, complex projects.

Write specifications, conduct code research, and review approvals with agencies.

Collaborate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients; assume project‑manager role as necessary.

Prepare proposals, budgets, schedules, and workforce projections; supervise and guide the design team.

Ensure projects meet environmental, safety, structural, zoning, and aesthetic standards.

Perform construction administration, including project communications, record maintenance, certification of amounts due, and preparation of change orders.

Support business‑development activities as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent.

Registered architect preferred but not required.

Minimum five (5) years of combined experience as an intern architect and/or architect.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, Newforma Project Center, Newforma Project Analyzer (Planifi), and Bluebeam PDF Revu.

Strong understanding of building technology fundamentals and relevant codes.

Excellent time‑management, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks, work collaboratively, and provide clear direction.

Strong attention to detail and cultural awareness.

• In the office, exposure to hazardous conditions is minimal; in construction sites, noise may be loud.
