Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI), a leading power engineering consultancy, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Phoenix, AZ office as a Drafter/Designer.
Responsibilities The successful candidate will perform intermediate to senior level drafter/designer work to provide Computer Aided Drafting and Design support for Electrical Substation Engineering Projects. Work includes, but is not limited to:
Plans, views, sections, details, steel structures and foundations, electrical schematics, wiring and connection details.
Working from engineering markups, sketches, and/or verbal direction.
Creating and modifying working design documents using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation CADD programs.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
College degree in an acceptable curriculum or a two‑year technical certificate in computer‑aided drafting/design, and a minimum of five years concentrated Electrical Substation experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation CADD programs and Microsoft Office Suite. ProjectWise, Maximo File Storage, 3D Design and Raster Editing experience is a plus. The successful applicant may be subject to client‑mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving may be required. Successful applicant is subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements. Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H‑1B) now or in the future.
