Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical CAD Designer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will support the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies, creating precise 3D models, technical drawings, and documentation that guide our manufacturing and product development processes.

The ideal candidate is proficient in CAD design, has a strong grasp of mechanical design principles, and is comfortable working within an ERP system to manage design data and workflows. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated designer who enjoys translating engineering concepts into high-quality, manufacturable designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and revise accurate 3D models and 2D drawings for mechanical parts and assemblies using CAD software.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to convert design concepts and technical specifications into practical, manufacturable solutions.
  • Ensure all designs meet company standards, engineering best practices, and applicable industry regulations.
  • Maintain organized documentation and version control of design files within the companys data management and ERP systems.
  • Support product improvement initiatives and cross-functional design reviews as needed .

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical Design, Drafting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical CAD design within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Proficiency with CAD softwareAutodesk Inventor preferred, though experience with SolidWorks, Creo, or similar platforms is also valuable.
  • PDM software experience preferred
  • Experience working within ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor, or similar).
  • Good understanding of GD&T, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
