Annual Bonus and RSUs Cadence Molecular Sciences has developed a cuttingedge, firstinclass cloudnative platform for molecular design, cheminformatics and data management (Orion). Everyone, from toptwenty pharmaceutical companies to emerging biotechnology startups use Orion to accelerate the pace of discovery in the areas of new therapeutics and molecular materials. We are looking for an outstanding UX/UI designer to lead the design of the Orion platform. You will partner with product, UI engineering, drugdiscovery science, marketing and senior leadership to oversee the user experience of therapeutic design. D. drugdiscovery scientists and commercial teams, as well as conduct user research and synthesize the many voices into a unified and strategic roadmap to guide our design. You will develop sketches, wireframes, highfidelity mockups, and working prototypes and iteratively refine solutions as designs are implemented to deliver creative, consistent and practical solutions. You will provide advocacy for humancentered design. Conduct highquality user research to develop user personas and design strategy that can be articulated in a complete user experience. Create and iteratively refine design solutions through mocks, wireframes and highfidelity prototypes. Participate in formulating strategic product vision as it relates to user experience design. Coach stakeholders in key aspects of design. Contribute to building design resources with developers (e.g., BS with a minimum of 7 years of experience OR MS with a minimum of 5 years of experience OR PhD with a minimum of 1 year of experience. ~3+ years experience in UX/UI design at an agile, SaaS or similar organization. ~ Excellent user research skills and an ability to synthesize and translate technical user research and experience into elegant visual design. ~ Wellacquainted with design tools such as Balsamiq, Sketch, Figma, InVision, etc. ~ A history of working with diverse stakeholders including frontend engineers, customers and product representatives. Ability to work with PhD scientists and users. Understanding of molecules, chemistry, pharmaceuticals or a related field. A background or experience in software engineering for a STEM discipline.
