- Design HVAC and plumbing systems including ductwork, piping, and equipment layouts.
- Perform load calculations, pressure drop analysis, and equipment selection.
- Prepare construction documents, including drawings and specifications, suitable for bidding and permitting.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies for retrofit and new construction projects.
- Assist in budgeting and cost estimation for mechanical scopes.
- Review and ensure compliance with local building codes and industry standards.
- Support project timelines and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Design, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on HVAC and/or plumbing systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Trace Load software or similar HVAC analysis tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction documentation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience working in a collaborative design team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new standards.
