Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and select print and digital materials to ensure the library collection is diverse, current, and relevant to the school community.
- Collaborate with teachers to curate and provide resources that align with grade-level standards and instructional goals.
- Foster a love of reading by providing individualized recommendations for books and resources based on student interests and reading levels.
- Teach students about safe and responsible use of online resources, internet safety, and ethical research practices.
- Partner with teachers to integrate media and technology into lessons.
- Support students and staff in using educational technology and digital resources effectively.
- Plan and implement engaging library programs.
- Manage budgets, track inventory, and ensure compliance with copyright laws and school policies.
- Stay updated on trends in education, library science, and technology, and share knowledge with staff to support instructional practices.
- Salary schedule placement acknowledging highest level of education and ALL years of previous experience as allowed by the salary schedule.
- Four additional paid days beyond base contract.
