POSITION OVERVIEW:
Join our team as a Lead Audio Visual Technician! In this role, you will be the on-site leader for hardware installations, overseeing daily activities while ensuring top-notch safety and quality. You will work closely with the Commissioning Engineer, who manages system commissioning and technical validation, to guarantee a seamless and timely installation process ready for final turn-up.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Crew & Site Leadership: Direct installation activities including mounting hardware, cable management, and room build-outs. Assign tasks and keep the team aligned with the project plan.
- Coordinate all on-site work with general contractors, trades, and facilities while proactively addressing any blockers with the Project Manager (PM).
- Maintain a professional demeanor, serving as the main point of contact for customers in the absence of the PM.
Readiness, Quality & Safety
- Conduct daily reviews of the Statement of Work (SOW), drawings, and site conditions to confirm all requirements are met.
- Enforce safety protocols and quality standards to deliver exceptional installations with clean cable management and proper labeling.
- Ensure the highest level of craftsmanship is displayed in all physical installations.
Schedule, Materials & Subcontractors
- Implement the project schedule and provide timely updates on progress, risks, and material needs to the Project Manager.
- Verify kit counts and ensure timely requests for missing parts to prevent any delays.
- Supervise subcontracted installers for adherence to scope, safety standards, and quality expectations.
Documentation & Closeout
- Maintain accurate field notes, including redlines, photos of the installation, and completion checklists.
- Assist with customer knowledge transfer regarding basic system usage as directed.
Partnership with Commissioning Engineer
- Ensure a clean, powered installation ready for commissioning by supporting logistics and addressing any necessary modifications.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be versatile in physical movements, including climbing, bending, sitting, and standing.
- Safety equipment such as glasses, gloves, and hard hats will be required on-site.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- 4+ years of experience in audio-visual integration or collaboration.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
- Certifications: Dante Level 1, QSC Level 1, Extron AV Associate, Crestron Certified Technician, AVIXA CTS certification (or willingness to obtain quickly).
