About The Role (Freelance)
We're looking for the best content creators to help us transform how Americans eat through nutrition therapy! You will own the full content process: ideation, filming, editing, and fresh concept development rooted in our target audience. The ideal creator understands internet culture, produces lo‑fi, scroll‑stopping videos, and demonstrates authenticity on camera. Scripts should feel real, engaging, and native to social media, not like an ad. This contracted role will deliver 5‑10 videos a month, with potential to grow into a retainer contract.

- A genuine love for capturing food and healthy lifestyle content (recipes, grocery hauls, nutrition tips, everyday healthy‑living moments) and the ability to speak about them authentically; current content work must reflect this focus.
- Ability to generate ideas that cut through the noise and resonate with the Berry Street community: people seeking approachable, expert‑backed nutrition support that feels human, relatable, and supportive.
- Executes independently from concept to final edit, with guidance from our in‑house creative team as needed.
- Brings a clear point of view, personal style, and high attention to detail to every piece of content.
- Comfortable creating content for paid ads and understands how to adapt style for performance‑driven creative.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high‑volume content for paid ads and social media platforms.
- Write scripts that align with our content pillars and performance best practices.
- Own the process of finding and engaging our audience in unique, unexpected ways, including hooks, intros, editing styles, and authentic messaging.
- Translate nutrition science and complex concepts into relatable, digestible, and genuinely entertaining content.
- Stay deeply tapped into internet culture and understand which trends align with our brand and which to avoid.
- Have an expert eye for editing techniques that cut through the noise on social media.
- Turn around feedback from the team in a timely manner.
- Audit our reviews, comments, and Reddit to identify pain points that can be used as content ideas.
Requirements
- Proven experience creating content for brands, agencies, or scaling your own social media channels.
- Strong charisma and storytelling skills that translate well on video.
- Proficiency in video editing and social media tools such as Final Cut, CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite.
- Deep understanding of social media best practices, algorithms, trends, and analytics.
- Ability and discipline to operate independently.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- NYC‑based location (not required but nice to have).
- A portfolio of previous work you can share and/or social media handles with your work.
