Designer

Our client, an American retailer that owns and operates 4 brands that are well known, is looking for someone to join their team as a Designer. This role is onsite in San Francisco, California.

Base pay range

$45.00/hr - $50.00/hr

*This is a 3-month W2 contract*

Responsibilities

• Create innovative design concepts inspired by current and emerging fashion trends.
• Produce sketches, mood boards, and seasonal design presentations.
• Analyze market and fashion trends to guide design direction.
• Collaborate closely with Sourcing and Materials Development teams to ensure design feasibility.
• Provide foundational fit and body block information; participate in fit sessions as needed.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to bring concepts from idea to production.
• Report directly to the Design Director.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in fashion or apparel design.
• Strong understanding of fabrics, color theory, and garment construction.
• Ability to translate trends into commercially relevant designs.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
