Description of Duties

Title: Sr. Graphic Designer
Classification: Exempt
Hourly Range: 100,000 - 110,000
Working Hours: Hybrid 9 am – 5 pm, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday in office; Wednesday & Friday remote
Location: HQ – 14801 Califa St, Van Nuys, CA 91411

DÔEN is looking for a dynamic and experienced Sr. Graphic Designer to join our growing Los Angeles team. In this role you will report to the VP of Marketing and work closely with the Creative Director of Content, Communications Director, and the Content Manager. You will oversee the conceptualization and implementation of design across all visual touch points, from email marketing and packaging to website updates and Instagram templates. This is an extremely collaborative and creative role that requires a self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced, start‑up atmosphere and has a passion for art, photography, and visual storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director of Content, VP Marketing, and Editorial Content Director to explore, develop, implement, and execute the vision for all brand assets across multiple channels.
  • Work with VP of Marketing to manage and execute all email marketing output, including A/B testing, audience segmentation, seasonal Welcome Series updates, and development of new templates.
  • Design and manage cross‑channel paid ad asset creation and hand‑off, working with Creative Director of Content & VP Marketing.
  • In partnership with Brand Marketing Manager and Director of Production, oversee and project‑manage all packaging, including communication with external vendors and ensuring quality production.
  • Oversee branding trims and updated designs such as labeling, hang tags, and co‑branded product, in partnership with the Creative Consultant.
  • Create assets needed for in‑person activations or events, including pop‑ups, collaborations, and event invitations.
  • Assist in store mock‑ups and coming‑soon decals for store openings and wholesale/pop‑up activations.
  • Manage website design and collateral needs, including uploading assets pre‑launch, cropping, and passing deliverables in correct dimensions to the e‑commerce team.
  • Retouch and re‑color images for the site, campaign, studio, flats, and Journals (our editorial hub).
  • Manage and maintain the photo archive and design assets, ensuring accessibility for cross‑functional teams.
  • Act as the creative department point person for all pre‑launch website meetings, uploads, and asset checklists via Asana.
  • Assist the e‑commerce team in maintaining a mobile‑first website experience and ensuring mobile design is represented at all phases.
  • Communicate website design changes and work with developers to ensure proper execution via Asana app and coordination with Web Ops Manager and VP of E‑commerce.
  • Assist the e‑commerce team with onboarding new features and technologies as outlined in the roadmap, providing wires, mocks, etc.
  • Create and update design, sales, and marketing materials such as Style Guides, influencer collaterals, brand guidelines, and internal/external decks.
  • Assist in executing seasonal catalog mailers with Creative Director of Content and Creative Consultant.
  • Maintain brand guidelines within the scope of the role as directed by the Creative Director of Content.
  • Attend and actively participate in weekly content and marketing meetings led by VP Marketing.
  • Source public domain photos and utilize brand imagery assets to tell the DÔEN story artistically.
  • Project‑manage approvals for packaging and website changes, presenting to CEO and CCO with Creative Director of Content and Creative Consultant.
  • Research and present new trends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive collaborator who anticipates needs across departments.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, and related design, photography, and production software.
  • UX/UI experience is required.
  • Strong packaging production and management experience.
  • Experience with Klaviyo email design, including slicing and uploading image blocks.
  • Shopify back‑end experience is a plus.
  • Basic video editing is a plus.
  • Experience with Asana and Slack for cross‑functional communication.
  • Excellent concepting, creative development, and design skills.
  • Effective cross‑team collaborator able to handle multiple projects quickly.
  • Portfolio demonstrating ability to turn concepts into a creative vision.
  • Attention to detail and an awareness that every element matters in visual storytelling.
  • Clear understanding of the DÔEN aesthetic and brand.
  • Artistic eye and understanding of DÔEN’s design use.

Physical Requirements
