Senior Price Reporter - Atlantic LNG – S&P Global

Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 (US Applicants Only)

Overview
The Atlantic LNG team collects and publishes market information and assesses markets in the Atlantic Basin. This role enhances LNG benchmarks in the Atlantic, engages senior external contacts, and positions Platts as a leading voice in the Americas LNG market.
Responsibilities
- Report on regional markets: contribute strongly to market coverage in Atlantic LNG with a focus on the Americas, suggest evolution of assessment specifications and methodology, lead critical projects, and provide feedback to the global LNG team.
- Write high quality news and commentary: become a thought leader, author commentaries, longer‑form stories, blogs, and strategic output while ensuring market‑related news angles are well‑covered.
- Engage with the industry: lead market engagement with sources in the Americas, collaborate with the Platts Structured Market Engagement (SME) team, find and nurture new market sources, maintain relationships with existing sources, deliver presentations at events, and travel as possible.
Qualifications
- Experience of relevant market reporting, analysis, business development or consultancy background in the Atlantic Basin energy (LNG, oil, gas) industry.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Strong writing skills.
- Strong public speaking / presentational skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to perform well with tight deadlines.
- Ability to react quickly to changing market conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese.
- Experience speaking with external media.
Compensation & Benefits (US Applicants Only)
