The Video Intelligence team is on the lookout for enthusiastic Research Interns eager to push the boundaries of video generation technologies. As part of an applied AI research team within Meta, we focus on building cutting-edge Generative AI technologies that transform video creation and enhance our understanding of video content.

As a Research Intern, you will join a dynamic group of leading researchers and engineers in the fields of computer vision, generative modeling, and multimodal learning. You will contribute to pioneering research projects that not only advance academic knowledge but also lay the foundation for future video intelligence systems and applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on key topics in video generation and understanding, including text-to-video and image-to-video models.
  • Design and implement innovative algorithms and model architectures.
  • Collaborate with a team of experts within the Video Intelligence group and across the GenAI division.
  • Publish research findings in esteemed AI, computer vision, and machine learning conferences and journals.
  • Present and share insights to guide ongoing research efforts and future innovations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or in the process of obtaining a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field with a focus on generative modeling, computer vision, or machine learning.
  • Proficient in Python with hands-on experience in deep learning frameworks, particularly PyTorch.
  • Experience with generative models, such as diffusion models, autoregressive transformers, etc.
  • Must obtain work authorization in the employment country when hired and maintain it throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intent to return to your degree program after the internship.
  • Strong research achievements indicated by grants, fellowships, patents, and publications at major AI conferences like CVPR, NeurIPS, or ICML.
  • Track record of contributions to open-source initiatives or research artifacts.
  • Research experience in video generation, temporal modeling, or multimodal learning.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment; cognitive skills to recognize and explore research opportunities related to real-life applications.
