As Terra Kaffe continues to scale, we’re looking for a multi-disciplinary Mid-Level Designer who can bring our brand to life. This role lives at the intersection of brand storytelling and showcasing Terra Kaffe’s visual craft across a wide variety of mediums. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled creative with a razor‑sharp strategic mindset, strong intellectual curiosity, and desire to work collaboratively to bring impeccably designed products to life.
This is a full time position based in NYC and will report to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities Brand & Visual Design
Create high-quality assets for campaigns, product launches, and brand storytelling across digital and print.
Maintain and expand Terra Kaffe’s visual identity system across all consumer touchpoints.
Photo, Video & Motion
Edit product and lifestyle photography for web, paid ads, social, and print.
Produce and edit long‑form and short‑form video content optimized for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and paid media.
Develop motion graphics, animated elements, and video overlays to enhance brand narratives.
Web & UI/UX
Design web pages, landing experiences, and micro‑interactions in alignment with Terra Kaffe’s visual language.
Collaborate with developers to hand off clean, well‑organized design files.
Packaging & Print
Support the design of product packaging, unboxing moments, and printed collateral.
Prepare mechanical files and collaborate with production partners to ensure quality execution.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work with marketing, product, and brand teams to concept and execute on creative needs.
Support ad‑hoc creative needs across the company with an elevated, detail‑oriented design approach.
Support larger‑scale brand initiatives (e.g. retail expansion, experiential activations, events, new platform launches, and more).
Collaborate with leadership on presentation materials, pitch decks, and major campaign overviews.
Provide design support for internal initiatives, team communications, and cross‑company projects.
Contribute to quarterly and monthly reporting by preparing visual summaries, campaign recaps, or design performance insights.
Manage creative timelines and maintain clear communication across stakeholders as projects evolve.
Skills & Qualifications >3 years of experience in design or creative roles at high‑growth consumer brands or design & branding agencies.
Strong portfolio demonstrating storytelling across digital, motion, and physical mediums.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects).
Experience with Figma for UI/UX design and web layout.
Familiarity with 3D or motion tools (Cinema4D, Blender, or similar) is a plus.
Experience working with photographers, videographers, and printers/production partners.
Comfortable navigating fast‑paced, rapidly evolving startup environments.
Background On Terra Kaffe Born in Berlin and raised in Brooklyn, Terra Kaffe is a group of coffee enthusiasts who fell in love with coffee brewed from carefully selected, sustainably‑sourced beans. TK takes a global approach to culture with a local focus on coffee. Outside of coffee, we focus on e‑Commerce, consumer goods, and connectivity. Our team is made up of ~15 passionate and highly‑caffeinated employees across the US. To date, we’ve raised ~$20 Million of funding; sell our products in top‑tier retailers like CB2, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales and more; and partner with coffee roasters across the country (Parlor Coffee, Equator Coffee, and Olympia Coffee, just to name a few).
Salary range is from $80K-110K
