Overview
Congenial, mission-driven, small-but-mighty organization seeks a Marketing and Communications Manager to help plan and implement NCCHC’s marketing and communications programs. You’ll be a vital part of a small marketing team where your ideas can have an immediate impact. This position reports to the Vice President of Professional Services.
Responsibilities
Plan and implement marketing and communication programs for various programs of the organization, including collateral, emails, website, and social media
Serve as editor for our print magazine (2x per year) and digital newsletters
Develop the annual report
Manage activities related to the National Conference opening ceremony
Oversee the editorial process for position statements
Coordinate public relations with supporting organizations and outside media
Serve as staff liaison to the NCCHC Juvenile Health Committee
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in creation of association marketing collateral
Strong marketing and editorial writing skills
Excellent creative, strategic, analytical and project management skills
Experience managing outside contractors like designers, videographers, and other creative partners
Flexible, adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced team environment
High level of initiative, with ability to meet deadlines, set priorities and work independently
Proficiency in design principles. In-Design experience a plus.
Ability to deal tactfully, professionally, and effectively with others
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or equivalent.
Seeking five years of experience in professional nonprofit marketing or communications. Medical association experience is preferred.
Hybrid Office: Must work in Lincoln Park (Chicago) office 3 days/week.
