Graphic Designer (Volunteer – Marketing, Storytelling & Media Division)

Responsibilities
Design digital and print materials, including social media graphics, flyers, posters, newsletters, presentations, and program assets. Support MAP’s brand identity by ensuring cohesive visual style across all divisions. Collaborate with the Marketing Lead, Social Media Lead, YouTube Production Lead, Podcast Team, and Storytelling & Media Division. Create visuals for Threads of Voices, The Bells I Hear, MAP Roots events, MAP Connect programs, and MAP fundraising campaigns. Support the design of book covers, layouts, and visual elements for PromisePress publications (as needed). Develop simple graphics or animations for MAP’s YouTube channel and digital storytelling content. Maintain organized design files and contribute to MAP’s evolving brand library. Check and respond to emails daily, with responses within 48 hours. Requirements
Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or similar). Strong visual storytelling skills and attention to detail. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional creative, marketing, and program teams. Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and branding. Ability to manage multiple projects with consistent deadlines. Passion for youth empowerment, equity, and mission-driven creative work. Preferred
Experience in animation, motion graphics, or video design. Ability to support UX/UI design for websites or apps. Illustration or hand-drawn artwork skills. Bilingual or multilingual abilities (Spanish or Haitian Creole preferred).
