Job Summary WHSV is searching for a Digital Content Producer/Anchor to create and share content on our digital platforms. The role will focus on web, social media, and streaming content, working alongside the digital content producer to proofread, post stories, and create original content. This Monday‑Friday position involves anchoring from our Digital Content Center and hosting segments on WHSV.com, the WHSV News app, and social media channels.
Duties & Responsibilities Proofread and edit reporter content for digital platforms.
Oversee copyright policies for digital news products, including acquiring images and video from copyright‑approved vendors.
Post and create accurate, fair, and balanced content on WHSV.com, the WHSV News app, and social media (Facebook, X, Instagram).
Send push alerts on the app and coordinate breaking‑news coverage with the news director, producers, and production team.
Learn new digital technologies and coach other team members.
Live the brand “Working Hard For You” and grow the digital platforms.
Meet deadlines.
Create and produce informative segments on the Digital Content Center (requires on‑camera announcing).
Qualifications & Requirements A Broadcast Communications or Journalism degree.
Strong editing and concise, journalistic writing skills.
Ability to respond swiftly to breaking news and unfolding events.
Willingness to work all shifts, especially during breaking news, on a primarily weekday schedule.
Self‑motivation and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Good news judgment and decision‑making.
Positive attitude and work environment.
Employment contingent on a motor‑vehicle background check.
