The Senior SEO Strategist leads SEO initiatives for high-value clients, overseeing strategy development, execution, and performance optimization. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong client-facing skills, ensuring measurable improvements in visibility, rankings, and conversions. The Senior SEO Strategist also mentors junior team members and contributes to overall SEO service innovation. Performance will be measured by:

  • Client retention and revenue growth
  • Organic traffic and conversion improvements for strategic clients
  • Client lead volume and quality (ROI)
  • Quality and impact of SEO strategies
  • Mentorship and leadership within the SEO team
  • Demonstrates leadership aligned with ATB values

Key Responsibilities

Strategic SEO Leadership:

  • Develop advanced SEO strategies tailored to client goals.
  • Provide thought leadership on SEO trends and innovations.

Technical and On-Page Optimization:

  • Conduct in-depth audits to identify and resolve site issues.
  • Optimize technical and on-page factors for long-term performance.

Client Management and Collaboration:

  • Serve as primary SEO contact for senior-level clients.
  • Present strategies, data, and insights in client meetings.
  • Lead discussions regarding client lead volume and quality
  • Position up-sell and cross-sell product and service opportunities with the sales and account management teams.

Mentorship and Team Support:

  • Guide and support SEO Strategists and Associates.
  • Share best practices and contribute to process improvements.
  • Lead SEO strategy for multiple clients
  • Mentor junior SEO team members
  • Build cross-channel search strategies
  • Collaborate with sales to surface upsell/cross-sell SEO opportunities
  • Use Monday.com, HubSpot, and reporting tools to communicate project health and results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of SEO experience, ideally in agency setting
  • Expertise in technical SEO, keyword research, link building, and analytics
  • Strong presentation and client communication skills
  • Proven record of managing complex SEO campaigns
  • Leadership or mentorship experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of AI and LLM platforms
  • Support for business development or pre-sales SEO consultation is preferred
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Agency Analytics and/or similar platforms
