Job Description:
This position is for local residents only.
Responsibilities:- Prepare Custom s documentation and ensure that shipments meet all applicable laws to facilitate the import of goods.
- Determine and track duties and taxes payable.
- Process payments on behalf of clients.
- Prepare and process import documentation according to Customs regulations, laws, or procedures.
- Process Customs Entry by completing the appropriate mandated procedures to clear goods through U.S. Customs and designated OGA s to obtain release of client s product.
- Calculate duty and tariff payments owed on shipments.
- Pay, or arrange for payment of taxes and duties on shipments.
- Request or compile necessary import documentation, such as Customs Invoices, Certificates of Origin and cargo-control documents.
- Post bonds (SEB / Continuous) for the products being imported or assist clients in obtaining bonds
- Help classify goods according to tariff coding system and assist customers in obtaining accurate US HTS codes.
- Apply for tariff concessions and or entry cancelations
- Knowledge of HTS and steel/reciprocal tariffs
- Customer invoicing for Brokerage related activities.
- Maintain customer records and filing.
