The Ph.D. is required by August 2026 for the successful candidate to hold the rank of assistant professor and begin the probationary period toward tenure. Qualifications and Responsibilities Teach a 2-2 teaching load at the graduate level with opportunities to teach across the School’s programs. Distribution of effort: 50% research, 45% teaching, 5% service. Maintain a personal research program and participate in professional activities. Serve on university committees and advise students. Opportunities exist to work with doctoral students in the College’s interdisciplinary Ph.D. program. About the School The University of Kentucky’s School of Information Science is an interdisciplinary community of scholars and professionals.
