Job Overview
The Sales Manager is responsible for generating conference business from a local or national market, maximizing sales, developing potential markets and administering assigned responsibilities. Responsibilities
Evaluate, solicit, and sell business to meet individual goals and overall departmental sales and profitability. Maintain an effective plan of correspondence and communication with all customers. Follow up on progress of booked business and key account performance, maintaining assigned accounts per sales minimum operating standards. Assist in developing and executing projects for assigned market areas to increase sales activity, volume and profit. Participate in sales meetings and industry-related organizations to represent the hotel and company. Develop a complete working knowledge of local competition. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
Effective supervisory and communication skills. Well organized with strong problem-solving skills. High school education or equivalent. Minimum of three years convention services operations experience. Two years supervisory experience preferred. Job Details
