Position
Digital Brand Designer (San Francisco, CA)
Responsibilities
- Design high‑performing, user‑centered web experiences for Fastly.com and landing pages that improve usability, user engagement, and solve for marketing objectives.
- Apply and evolve our brand system across digital platforms, ensuring consistency while optimizing for conversion.
- Create compelling motion graphics, animations, and interactive content for campaigns and social media.
- Build and maintain design systems, component libraries, and templates that enable scalable brand application.
- Apply accessibility and performance best practices to ensure inclusive experiences.
- Partner with web development, marketing, and product teams to implement optimized digital experiences.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years of digital design experience with a strong brand design foundation and proven expertise in web design, digital campaigns, and motion graphics.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in digital brand applications including responsive web design, digital advertising, and animated content with consistent brand execution.
- Proficiency in web design tools (Figma), motion graphics software (After Effects), and a basic understanding of HTML/CSS for web implementation.
- Experience leveraging AI design tools and emerging technologies to enhance digital production efficiency while maintaining brand quality.
- Experience with digital marketing channels including social media, paid advertising, and landing page optimization for conversion.
- Understanding of UX design principles, user research methodologies, web accessibility standards, and performance optimization for digital brand experiences.
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of conversion rate optimization, analytics tools, and data‑driven design optimization for digital performance.
- Experience creating and implementing Lottie animations, micro‑interactions, and web‑based motion graphics.
- Experience with SaaS product interfaces or B2B digital customer journeys.
- Background working in‑house at high‑growth technology companies with experience scaling digital brand systems.
- Experience with content management systems, basic front‑end development, or collaboration with development teams on digital implementations.
Work Hours & Location
Position requires availability during core business hours. This role is open to the San Francisco, CA office and follows Fastly’s largely hybrid model, allowing flexibility to split time between office and home.
Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is $114,200 to $137,040. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
