Overview
Senior Project Manager - Transit Maintenance Facility Design at STV. This role leads design and delivery for transit maintenance facilities, serving as a key technical design leader within STV’s Center of Excellence. Location flexible to nationwide STV offices or remote within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct all aspects of the project design and delivery process.
- Mentor mid-level and junior Industrial/Equipment Engineering Design staff and lead assistant project managers through design development to project delivery.
- Lead project initiatives with profit and loss accountability, collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals.
- Utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills to drive team success and ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
- Maintain project financials and schedule performance.
- Coordinate with all design disciplines; participate in the development of technical and cost proposals, oral presentations, and contribute to business development and marketing activities.
- Support long-term business and client development while sustaining current client relationships.
- Travel will be required to support national projects.
Qualifications / Essential Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Engineering Design & Project Management with Mechanical or Industrial/Equipment Engineering Design principles mastered.
- Engineering Design experience focused on Transportation projects (Bus/Transit/Rail & Vehicle Maintenance Buildings & Facilities).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred).
- Registration as Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA), or ability/willingness to obtain licensure preferred.
- Strong client relationships for large transit projects.
- Experience with issues that impact design/selling success.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; solutions-focused technical project leadership.
- Familiarity with delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CMAR, P3).
- Knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD; familiarity with Autodesk Revit basics is a plus.
Location & Compensation
Location: This position can be located either in the US or working from any STV office across the United States. Compensation range: $112,253.66 - $149,671.54.
