Apex Systems is hiring: Visual Designer in Glendale

Overview

Well-known entertainment focused client is seeking a Digital Asset Manager to work with their team. This is a 40 hour/week, year-long contract opportunity requiring 2 days/week onsite (Tuesday and Wednesday) in Glendale, CA. This role is also open to candidates who sit in Orlando, FL and Seattle, WA.

Ideal candidates must have proficiency in a range of skills, with an emphasis on photography and asset management. Advanced skill in retouching, asset organization and mapping is essential. Candidates must be extremely efficient with photo editing programs and all possible integration points to deliver high quality work consistently. They should take constructive feedback and creative direction well, and communicate complex ideas with co‑workers at various levels within the Company. Familiarity with video production and other creative media is a plus. Candidates are encouraged to broaden core skill sets and share best practices and ideas for production innovation.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.

Must Have

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Strong portfolio showcasing an understanding of lifestyle and architecture photography and processing techniques
• Solid understanding of photography principles and techniques regarding composition, lighting, color theory, and storytelling
• Professional experience as a Digital Librarian or Product Management role
• Adobe product certifications that demonstrate familiarity with AEM Assets a plus
• Exceptional artistic and creative problem‑solving skills related to photography retouching
• Experience with taxonomy & metadata schemas in a DAM
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas in a clear, concise, and professional manner

Nice To Have

• Experience with Figma a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Process and retouch photography for use on websites and mobile
• Bring AEM site pages to life, creating structure and uploading content
• Organize assets with thoughtful and consistent metadata and proper taxonomy
• Triage incoming tickets or inquiries and route requests to team
• Participate in meetings and critiques
