Hartmann Studios is seeking an experienced Art Director to lead the visual direction of projects from concept through final delivery. You’ll define the artistic approach, communicate a clear vision to the team, and ensure every design adheres to brand guidelines. This role is pivotal in reviewing and approving layouts, designs, and photography, and providing constructive feedback to maintain consistency and quality. You’ll create style guides and production templates, guiding both internal designers and external partners to bring creative concepts to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion the brand by ensuring all designs meet internal and external standards while pushing for fresh, standout visuals.
• Review all creative assets for consistency and impact.
• Drive creative direction, offering actionable guidance and feedback to designers.
• Lead and inspire teams, partnering with creative leads to set vision and deliver bold ideas.
• Collaborate with Creative Ops to scope projects, track hours, and manage timelines.
• Build creative resources, mentor talent, and develop style guides and design systems.
• Present concepts and solutions confidently to internal teams and clients.

Experience & Qualifications

• 7+ years in art direction or senior design roles, ideally within experiential marketing, live events, or branded environments.
• Familiarity with large-scale corporate events, stage/set design, motion graphics, and multimedia production is highly valued.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, and Apple Suite; must provide a visual portfolio.
• Strong understanding of brand-led work and audience resonance.
• Ability to create clear storyboards, mood boards, and presentations.
• Proven success leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with creative professionals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
• Strong time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Solution-oriented with keen attention to detail.
