Contract Length: January - December, 2026

Job Summary: The Virtual Arkansas Media Designer collaborates with the VA Design Team to brainstorm and support the development of a cohesive graphics package for the assigned course project. While the Media Designer does not independently create or finalize the graphics package, they contribute creative ideas, drafts, and visual concepts during its formation. Once finalized by the Design Team, the Media Designer applies the approved graphics package across all course media.

This role produces high-quality visual, interactive, and multimedia assets - including illustrations, infographics, videos, animations, chatbots, voicebots, and other engaging digital media - that enhance the student learning experience and maintain consistency with Virtual Arkansas branding and accessibility standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None Duties/Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the VA Design Team to brainstorm visual themes, concepts, and drafts for use in the course graphics package Create preliminary media samples, mockups, and sketches to support graphics package development Apply the finalized graphics package consistently across all produced media assets Design and create course media including diagrams, infographics, and visual supports Produce multimedia content such as videos, motion graphics, audio narration, and animations Develop interactive and technology-enhanced media elements such as:

Chatbots Voicebots Audio-based feedback tools Interactive images or hotspots

Collaborate with project team members to determine media needs and ensure accurate implementation within the LMS Ensure all media meets Virtual Arkansas branding, style, and accessibility guidelines Use AI-assisted tools (when applicable) to support drafting, prototyping, and developing media concepts Maintain organized media files and work collaboratively within the project workflow Prioritize tasks and adapt to meet required deadlines Abide by all Virtual Arkansas and applicable Arch Ford ESC policies and regulations Other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities:

Strong creative design skills with experience in digital media production Ability to brainstorm and contribute to visual concept development Proficiency in tools for graphic design, multimedia creation, video editing, and/or animation Familiarity with emerging interactive technologies such as chatbots or voicebots Strong understanding of branding, visual consistency, and accessibility best practices Excellent communication and collaboration skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to learn and adapt to new and emerging technologies, including AI-assisted media tools Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple media assets concurrently Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in media design, graphic design, digital media, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience) Experience producing digital graphics, multimedia, or interactive content Experience working with educational or instructional media is highly desirable Portfolio demonstrating design and multimedia capabilities preferred Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Periodic travel requirements Sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch Use hands to handle or feel, type, and pick up objects, and reach with hands and arms; Talk or hear to communicate effectively Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Other Information:

This position will be hired through the Arch Ford Education Cooperative Telework from home office Compensation: $4,000 minus applicable taxes, retirement, and fees
