Job Description

Classified Title: Multimedia Specialist I
Classification Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and one year of appropriate experience.

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) is seeking a motivated and innovative Multimedia Specialist I to join our communications team. In this role, you will help elevate the CLAS brand by creating engaging multimedia content, managing social media channels, and analyzing digital engagement to expand the college's reach and reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead photo and video assignment planning.
  • Produce and edit photography and video, coordinating assignments with CLAS Communications and Media Services team members, CLAS faculty and staff, freelancers and student staff.
  • Support special communications projects that showcase CLAS programs, research, and people.
  • Contribute to branding and reputation-building efforts for the college.
  • Manage and maintain equipment related to photo and video production.

Compensation

The salary is $20 - $22 per hour.

Required Qualifications

A high school diploma and one year of appropriate experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience.
  • Skills in photography, videography, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
