We are seeking an experienced PR Account Director to lead a group of clients at our home decor and interior design PR and communications firm. This senior‑level role requires a seasoned public relations professional with 8‑10 years of PR experience to manage high‑profile client relationships and drive strategic communications initiatives for luxury brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as primary client contact for 7‑10 premium home decor and interior design accounts, including clients in furniture, fabric, lighting companies and renowned interior designers and architects across the US
• Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies that elevate brand awareness and drive business results across traditional and digital media channels
• Concept, pitch and secure high value stories – features, product launches and profiles
• Manage and mentor a Senior Account Executive, providing guidance on strategy and campaign development, media relations, and client service excellence
• Cultivate relationships with top‑tier lifestyle media, including shelter magazines, design publications, trade press, and influential digital platforms
• Oversee product launches, showroom openings, market events, and designer collaborations
• Coordinate high‑impact media initiatives including press previews and industry event opportunities
• Present strategic recommendations and campaign results to C‑level executives and brand stakeholders
• Travel to industry events when needed

Required Qualifications

• 8-10 years of public relations experience, preferably within lifestyle, home decor, or design industries
• Proven track record managing luxury consumer brands and working with interior design professionals
• Strong existing relationships within the shelter media landscape and design community
• Experience managing junior team members and fostering professional development
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail
• Strategic mindset with ability to translate brand objectives into compelling media narratives
