About the Role
Skalawag Productions is an Emmy‑winning creative studio focused on thoughtful storytelling, collaborative production, and high‑quality integrated photo and video work for some of the most exciting brands in food, beverage, and beyond.
This role is one part line producer, one part project manager, and one part organizational savant — someone who thrives in the details while keeping the bigger picture moving forward.
As a Producer & Project Manager, you’ll confidently lead small‑to‑mid‑sized productions, support larger campaigns, and help keep projects organized, on schedule, and moving smoothly from kickoff through final delivery.
You’ll work closely with our creative team, clients, and freelancers to ensure clear communication, smart planning, and well‑run sets.
Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Management- Manage multiple projects from kickoff through delivery with support from senior leadership
- Build and maintain schedules (internal team and client‑facing), budgets, production books, and project trackers.
- Serve as a main day‑to‑day contact for clients, ensuring clarity on logistics and next steps
- Run internal meetings, track updates, and keep teams aligned on deadlines
- Ensure deliverables stay on schedule and aligned with project expectations
- Produce and manage photo and video shoots in studio and on location
- Handle crew bookings, call sheets, equipment pulls, casting, locations, and permits
- Oversee on‑set operations to ensure smooth, safe, efficient production days
- Collaborate closely with clients, directors, DPs, photographers, stylists, and additional contractors
- Troubleshoot in real time and keep productions running efficiently
- Build post‑production schedules and manage feedback cycles
- Coordinate with editors, color, sound, and animation teams
- Organize and maintain project assets across folders, review links, and delivery platforms
- QC and deliver final assets in proper formats
- Help manage and refine internal workflows, templates, and production processes
- Support creative development by flagging feasibility considerations and production implications
- Assist in creating ideas for email campaigns and social media
- Jump in on set or in‑office wherever needed to keep projects moving
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in production, agency, or content studio environments
- Experience producing small and mid‑sized productions with confidence
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Working understanding of production logistics across crew, equipment, casting, and locations
- Familiarity with post‑production workflows and tools (Frame.io, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.)
- Clear communicator who stays calm under pressure
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to problem‑solve in the moment
Nice to Have
- Experience with food, beverage, hospitality, or lifestyle productions
- Comfort working on integrated photo/video library shoots
- Experience with budgeting or cost‑tracking tools
- Interest in creative development and shaping project approach
