About the role
CatFace is looking for a part-time In-House Product Photographer to create clean, consistent, high-quality product imagery for our website and marketing channels. You'll own the in-house shoot process-from setup to breakdown-and deliver retouched, web-ready assets (including cutouts and PNGs) on schedule. You'll collaborate closely with Marketing (mood boards, creative direction) and Merch (samples, deadlines), and you'll be comfortable receiving feedback.
Key responsibilities
In-house product photography (on-site shoots)
Own day-to-day product photography for CatFace's website, ensuring consistent, high-quality imagery across launches and restocks.
Photograph products in-house for e-commerce/web use (dynamic angles + any needed detail shots). Manage studio workflow end-to-end: product prep, lighting/camera setup, staging, set up + break down. Maintain shot consistency and visual standards (lighting, exposure, composition, brand look). Keep products and files organized so shoots run smoothly and nothing goes missing. Editing + web asset delivery (edit from home)
Prepare polished, web-ready files that meet CatFace standards and upload requirements.
Retouch and edit images in Adobe Photoshop (or related Adobe software). Create background cutouts and transparent PNGs as needed. Export correct formats and sizes for the website (including clean crops, cutoffs, and naming conventions). Respond to feedback, revise selects, and turn updates quickly. Marketing support (deadlines + creative alignment)
Partner with Marketing to ensure photos support campaigns.
Collaborate on mood boards/shot direction to match campaign needs. Track photography deadlines tied to launches, promos, and seasonal moments. Share status updates and flag risks early (missing samples, reshoots, retouch complexity, timeline conflicts). Work collaboratively during reviews-iterate based on feedback from photoshoots. Events & conventions coverage (occasional travel)
Capture on-brand content in fast-paced environments during assigned events/conventions.
Travel occasionally to events and conventions to photograph booth/product/brand moments as needed. Deliver selects and edited assets on agreed timelines post-event. Pack/prep gear and ensure efficient setup for on-location shooting. Merch coordination (samples only: shipping/receiving)
Coordinate with Merch strictly for sample logistics needed for photography.
Coordinate shipping/receiving of product samples for shoots (tracking, confirmations, basic handoff). Maintain visibility on what's incoming, what's overdue, and what's needed next. Communicate sample delays that affect shoot schedules and marketing deadlines. Qualifications
Required
Product photography experience (in-house, studio, or e-commerce). Photo editing/retouching experience with strong attention to detail. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (or related Adobe editing software). Experience producing clean cutouts and transparent PNGs for web use. Strong organization and ability to meet deadlines consistently. Comfortable receiving feedback and collaborating cross-functionally. Nice to have
Experience shooting at events and conventions. Familiarity with e-commerce image standards. Tethered shooting experience (Capture One/Lightroom) and basic color correction. Skills that make someone successful
