Responsibilities
Bring to life the Mission brand, style, and messaging through visual storytelling Create and publish multi-media and multi-platform content—especially, but not exclusively, photo and video—in alignment with Mission institutional identity and marketing goals Produce, film, and edit over 100 videos annually for the Mission, its programs, and events Produce and publish visual content in an engaging, innovative, creative, and appealing manner Manage and maintain a production schedule in line with video and photography needs for each program based on program briefs and accompanying calendars Help identify compelling initiatives and stories in the Mission’s work, then research and present them effectively Plan and execute film shoots and interviews; single-handedly operate equipment while conducting interviews Film on set and on location; set up and take down of cameras, tripods, microphones, lighting, drone, props, etc. Requirements
Proven ability for professional level media capture and production including digital photography, videography, and basic graphic design Able to interview a broad variety of people with sensitivity and grace Experience leveraging media assets for storytelling and promotion Ability to work quickly under tight deadlines Ability to work on a team as well as initiate and complete independent projects Knowledge of marketing channels and experience using digital and traditional channels Creative and can think outside the box Thorough and precise with good attention to detail Preferred
Associate or bachelor's degree in media, digital media arts, film production, or communications Familiarity with the Maine media market Familiarity with Washington County, island living, or other regions with isolated communities
