The Seasonal Designer for Sporting Kansas City is an important creative contributor responsible for producing visually compelling assets that support the club's brand, content strategy, and fan engagement efforts. This role works closely with the Creative and Brand Team to deliver high-quality design work across digital, social, in-stadium, retail, and partnership platforms.
The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of visual fundamentals, thrives in a fast-paced sports environment, and brings fresh ideas while maintaining brand consistency. This role offers hands-on experience inside a professional sports creative department, contributing directly to the creative output that shapes Sporting Kansas City's presence in Kansas City and beyond.

Essential Functions
- Design and execute creative assets for social, digital, print, presentations, stadium boards, and marketing campaigns.
- Translate creative briefs into visually engaging solutions that align with Sporting Kansas City's brand identity.
- Assist in designing gameday graphics, promotional materials, in-stadium signage, and social content.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Social, Video, Partnerships, and other internal teams to support cross-department initiatives.
- Maintain accuracy and quality across all design deliverables.
- Contribute to design needs for Sporting Kansas City, Sporting KC II, The Victory Project, Argyle Events, and stadium programming.
- Work within Adobe Workfront to manage tasks, track progress, and implement feedback.
- Participate in creative reviews and apply constructive critique to elevate work.
- Stay informed on design trends and social platform aesthetics relevant to a modern sports audience.
- Support the design needs for gameday communications across social, digital, in-stadium boards, and fan engagement platforms.
- Assist with timely content updates and templated graphics before, during, and after games.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Operations on signage, promotions, and special events.
- Occasional away gameday remote support may be required.
- Work all Sporting Kansas City home games during the season.
- Strong communicator with solid organizational skills.
- Creative thinker energized by fast-paced project work.
- Detail oriented with a commitment to accuracy and consistency.
- Team oriented and receptive to feedback.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities across multiple assignments.
- Self-motivated and eager to grow as a designer.
- Working toward or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
- 1 to 2 years of design experience through internships, freelance, or academic projects preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Familiarity with designing for social platforms and digital environments.
- Understanding of brand consistency and visual systems.
- Photography, illustration, or motion experience is a plus.
- Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required.
