The Department: Design In Design, we blend beauty with tech to create world-class products, driven by data and focused on the user experience for both retail and institutional clients.

The Role: Lead Product Designer As a Lead Product Designer, you will help shape Gemini’s mission, vision, and strategy by deeply understanding user and business needs. You will craft scalable solutions and user journeys, collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, and fellow Designers to deliver a great Gemini platform experience. This role is required to be in person twice a week at one of the following offices: San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; or New York City, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in shaping and influencing product and design strategy.
  • Translate business requirements and user research into elegant design solutions for complex product problems.
  • Own the entire user journey and oversee design execution from concept through prototyping, user testing, and final production for both retail and institutional products.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other designers to define and implement the product roadmap.
  • Create web and mobile experiences that are straightforward and user-friendly for clients.
  • Contribute new directions and design patterns to Gemini’s design system and push design quality forward.

Qualifications

  • 7-8+ years of Product Design experience.
  • Strong product strategy skills, ability to work independently.
  • Experience collaborating with a product team to deliver successful products.
  • In-depth understanding of user-centered design activities from research to high-fidelity interfaces.
  • Experience with cross-functional communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to self-organize, prioritize, and deliver high-quality work on time.
  • Proficiency in Figma and other prototyping tools.
  • Curiosity to understand the crypto space and user needs; strong work ethic with humility.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay: $150,500.00/yr - $215,000.00/yr

Salary Note : The base salary range for this role is between $150,500 - $215,000 in New York, California, and Washington. This range is not inclusive of discretionary bonuses or equity. Factors considered when determining compensation include skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data. In the United States, employees in New York, Seattle, San Francisco, and Miami metro areas are expected to work from the designated office on a hybrid cadence unless a job-specific requirement dictates otherwise. Remote-first applies to employees outside these areas.
