Responsibilities
Overall reliability of TikTok’s video system, including publishing and distribution.
Lifecycle management of production systems: change management, service deployment, operations and emergency response.
Monitor the system and respond to incidents to maintain SLA; review and follow up all production incidents.
Capacity management of compute, storage and network bandwidth resources to ensure stability and optimize cost.
Support during high‑traffic events to handle large volumes of traffic.
Build tools, automations, visualizations and monitors to facilitate operation and optimization of global infrastructure.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical background or equivalent experience.
Programming experience with at least one of: C, C++, Java, Python, C#, Go.
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of networking, operating system, database, and container technology.
Strong understanding of microservice architecture and hands‑on experience troubleshooting large‑scale distributed systems.
Experience with Linux, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis and ELK stack.
Experience building solutions with AWS, Google, Azure or other cloud services.
Passionate, self‑motivated and good teamwork skills.
