About the Role We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager in Bridge Design to join our Transportation Division in Glastonbury, CT. Key Responsibilities

Lead a team of multidisciplinary engineers.

Oversee all aspects of Bridge Design.

Manage projects and meet agreed‑upon budgets and schedules.

Make public presentations.

Perform quality control reviews.

Assist with the development of staff, including workloads, training and career planning.

Develop or review all aspects of engineering studies including data collection, models, plans and estimates.

Work with state or municipal clients on bridge infrastructure projects, including design and management of public state, county and city projects.

Develop new and existing client relationships and business development opportunities.

Assist with proposal preparation to secure new work.

Serve as Bridge Discipline lead on pursuits and opportunities.

Represent MJ at industry and professional society events.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.

Professional Engineer license required; ability to apply for comity in other states.

10+ years of progressive bridge engineering analysis, design and project management experience.

Project experience with DOT required.

Self‑starter who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Business development relationship skills.

Public presentation experience required.

Strong business development skills and experience are a plus.

Experience obtaining federal, state and local regulatory approvals and permits.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Track record of financial success, delivering projects on time and on budget.

Effective participation as part of a project team, developing and maintaining client relations, and meeting project demands and schedules.
