Partner with the SVP to guide filmmakers in establishing VFX pipelines and production plans, and collaborate on strategic planning, emerging technology opportunities, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency.
Prepare cost and schedule projections for Senior Management on active projects, and provide early VFX budget estimates and timeline requirements for projects in development.
Collaborate with the Creative Team on concept art and design needs for early‑stage projects, and work with Marketing on all phases of TV promotion and branding.
Build, manage, and evaluate domestic and international VFX vendor relationships, including strategic partnerships and new supplier assessments.
Support talent acquisition and management strategies for freelance VFX personnel, and maintain department databases tracking costs, historical data, and talent availability.
Manage special projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
10+ years of production‑side, VFX vendor, or film industry experience (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
Strong knowledge of the VFX process, budgeting, scheduling, and vendor relationships.
Proficiency in MS Office and database tools (ShotGrid, FileMaker Pro).
Working knowledge of Virtual Production and its applications.
Willingness to travel, work overtime, and work weekends on short notice.
Additional Qualifications
Self‑starter with strong initiative, follow‑through, and accountability.
Proven ability to excel in fast‑paced environments.
Superior organizational and multitasking skills; able to prioritize effectively.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and work both independently and collaboratively.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
Hiring Salary Range $225,000.00 - $250,000.00 (NYC, CA, CO, WA, and most other geographies). Starting pay depends on location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
