About the Opportunity The College of Arts, Media and Design (CAMD) invites applications for a position that will be jointly appointed in CAMD and the Policy School within the College of Social Sciences and Humanities. The job is also linked to the Institute for Information, the Internet, and Democracy (IIID). Candidates should have a research profile at the intersection of AI policy, democracy, media/creative industries, and internet governance.
Responsibilities
Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in digital policy, AI governance, platform regulation, AI and media, or related topics.
Mentor students at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels.
Maintain a strong program of interdisciplinary research that attracts external funding and/or recognition.
Participate in departmental, college, and university service.
Work effectively with a global student population.
Qualifications
PhD in Communication Studies, Media Studies, Journalism Studies, Public Policy, or a terminal degree in a related field by the start of employment.
Demonstrated potential to attract external research funding and/or support a creative practice.
