The primary purpose of this GENERAL ENGINEER, NH-0801-03 position is to serve as a professional engineer and project manager in support of the acquisition, development, or sustainment of weapons systems, sub-systems, and/or support equipment.
Duties Performs multidisciplinary engineering work involving the application of electrical, electronics, mechanical, aerospace, digital engineering, and other engineering disciplines to determine the technical and business needs of customers in the acquisition, development, or sustainment of the systems, sub-systems, support systems, equipment items, or an equivalent product. Applies emerging technology and business practices to develop and implement a course of action. Performs analysis and uses systematic, disciplines, and quantifiable approaches to implement, develop, and document projects or tasks. Performs project/program management responsibilities to determine the business and technical needs of customers.
Desired Skills
A minimum of 30 months of post-Bachelor's degree engineering experience is desired.
Strong background in digital engineering principles, regulations and policies to include Model Based System Engineering methodologies is a plus.
Ability to analyze data and establish requirements for technical objectives and characteristics is preferred.
Ability to develop system performance requirements, objectives and integration, and estimate time and resources needed for system design, development, and support is desired.
Experience in developing system performance requirements, objectives and integration, and estimate time and resources needed for system design, development, and support is valued.
