Over the past six years, we consistently achieved milestones that take other companies a decade or more. We grew our employee base, expanded our customer reach, and rapidly advanced our product capabilities.

Our founders saw that traditional security didn’t work for the cloud. We invented agentless technology and continue to be the most comprehensive and innovative cloud security company.

Executives pride themselves on being accessible to everyone and believe in sharing knowledge with employees. Every employee has a place in shaping the future of our industry.

About the Role Orca Security is seeking a technical, forward-thinking

SEO Strategist

to help drive our organic growth engine. This hands‑on role for a marketer who understands how

Large Language Models (LLMs)

like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity cite sources will work directly with the Director of Digital Experience to execute our organic strategy, ensuring our educational content is technically sound, highly visible, and optimized for the future of search.

You will act as a key partner to our Product Marketing and Research teams, providing the SEO and AEO intelligence needed to shape our educational library and rapid‑response content.

Key Responsibilities

Educational Content Strategy & Optimization

Content Collaboration:

Collaborate with Product Marketing to refine the roadmap for our educational content library, ensuring topics align with high‑intent search queries and user needs.

Brief Creation:

Develop data‑driven content briefs based on SEO/AEO research to guide PMM writers, focusing on answering complex cloud security questions thoroughly.

Optimization:

Review and optimize final content drafts for keyword density, readability, and “answer engine” formatting (AEO) before publication.

Intent‑Driven Strategy:

Move beyond simple keywords to target “User Intent,” optimizing content for “Zero‑Click” searches and featured snippets.

Rapid Response Support

Breach/CVE Optimization:

Partner with the Research and PMM teams during major security events (e.g., new CVEs) to ensure rapid‑response blogs are fully optimized for immediate indexability and AI citation.

Real‑Time Indexing:

Manage the submission of urgent content to search consoles to capture real‑time traffic spikes.

Technical SEO & Auditing

Audit & Validate:

Execute monthly technical SEO audits (Core Web Vitals, crawl errors, indexability) and present findings/solutions to the Director for validation.

Agency Handoff:

Once validated, prepare clear technical tickets for our web development agency to implement fixes.

Tactical Execution (Link Building & Authority)

Hands‑On Link Building:

Execute high‑quality, white‑hat link‑building campaigns to increase domain authority (replacing the need for an external vendor).

Competitor Monitoring:

Monitor backlink profiles and competitor movement using Ahrefs or Semrush to identify new outreach opportunities.

Reporting & Analytics

Dashboard Ownership:

Build and maintain performance dashboards (e.g., Looker Studio, GA4) to track organic traffic, keyword rankings, and conversion/pipeline contribution.

AI Share of Voice:

Establish benchmarks and reporting for Orca’s visibility in LLM answers (ChatGPT, Perplexity) compared to key competitors.

Performance Insights:

Analyze monthly data to identify winning tactics or decaying content, providing clear, actionable recommendations to the Director and content teams.

Qualifications

Experience:

3+ years of hands‑on SEO experience, with a proven track record in B2B SaaS or Cybersecurity.

Technical Stack:

Required:

Strong proficiency in Ahrefs or Semrush (Ahrefs preferred).

Proficiency:

WordPress (Gutenberg editor), Google Search Console, and GA4.

Next‑Gen Skill Set:

Demonstrated understanding of AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization). Know how to optimize content for LLMs, not just Google spiders.

Communication:

Exceptional written and verbal English. Synthesize complex search data into clear recommendations for PMM and Research teams.

Autonomy:

Work as a “team of two” with the Director, comfortable handling both high‑level research and gritty execution tasks (like link outreach).

Bonus Points (Nice to Have)

Experience with AI/LLM visibility dashboards or prompt monitoring tools.

Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for minor on‑page tweaks.
