Job Overview Macy's is seeking an experienced Associate to join our growing Affiliate Marketing team. This role, equivalent in title to a Senior Manager at most digital agencies, will be instrumental in driving our affiliate marketing strategy, optimizations, and delivering measurable results through data‑driven analysis and performance.
What You Will Do
Develop and execute innovative affiliate marketing strategies aligned with Macy's overall business objectives.
Manage and optimize relationships with affiliate partners to maximize program performance.
Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights.
Lead performance tracking and reporting, including ROI analysis across affiliate channels.
Manage, coach, and work closely with our agency partners and other channel leads.
Provide clear direction, feedback, and growth opportunities for team members.
Apply cross‑channel strategy knowledge (SEO/SEM, Display, Influencer, etc.) and user behavior insights.
Collaborate with merchandising, e‑commerce, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive promotional strategies.
Monitor competitive landscape and identify new partnership opportunities.
Implement testing strategies to continuously improve program performance.
Manage affiliate marketing budget and forecast performance.
Present performance metrics and strategic recommendations to leadership.
Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills You Will Need
5‑7 years of Affiliate Marketing experience (CPA, CPL, CPI) across omni‑channels including digital and traditional marketing.
Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring team members to drive performance and professional development.
Strong analytical skills with proven ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Proficiency with affiliate networks and platforms (Commission Junction, Rakuten, Impact, etc.).
Excellent project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities.
Strong negotiating skills and established relationships with top publishers within the Affiliate ecosystem.
Experience managing budgets and forecasting performance.
Who You Are
Data‑driven team player, with strong analytical skills.
Encouraged by user behavior, strategically aligned to industry standards, and driven by data.
Focus on the question “what does the data say” and possess the skills to source and deliver the answer.
Experience with managing programs in CJ and Rakuten.
Familiarity with influencer marketing strategies.
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply.
Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
